Last Friday, I caught up with my best friend over FaceTime. He also moved away a couple of years ago for a job, and since has even bought a home. Talking to him really helped validate that what I was feeling was normal. Moving to a new city is definitely an experience that will push you to new horizons and new challenges. It prompts you to better value relationships with those you meet, stay open minded to experiences you wouldn’t otherwise spend two seconds thinking about in your comfort zone.

Malnourished sea lion pups have started arriving in northern California – by the vanload.

It’s a three-day, two-night trip for the weary mammalian travelers, with overnight stops in San Luis Obispo and Moss Landing. At the end of the road: The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, where the pups will be cared for and returned to health.
